High-Performance Refractory / Fire Bricks
Refractory bricks, also known as furnace bricks, are engineered to withstand extreme temperatures and harsh industrial conditions. These durable, heat-resistant bricks are ideal for building and repairing high-temperature furnaces, kilns, incinerators, and fireplaces. We offer high performance, long life, thermal resistance more than 2300 deg cel.
Types of Refractory Bricks available:
- Acidic type:
- Silica Bricks: Primarily made of silica, these bricks are known for their ability to withstand high temperatures and their resistance to acidic slags.
- Fireclay Bricks: Composed of alumina and silica, these bricks are versatile and used in a variety of high-temperature applications.
- Basic type:
- Magnesia Bricks: These bricks are made from magnesite and are excellent for environments where basic (alkaline) slags are present, such as steelmaking furnaces.
- Dolomite Bricks: Similar to magnesia bricks but with added calcium carbonate, provide enhanced durability and chemical resistance.
- Neutral type:
- Chromite Bricks: Made from chromium and iron ore, these bricks are resistant to both acidic and basic slags.
- Alumina Bricks: With a high alumina content, these bricks offer excellent resistance to high temperatures and wear-tear.
- Acidic type:
Properties:
- Thermal Conductivity: Refractory bricks must have low thermal conductivity to provide effective insulation and conserve energy within high-temperature environments.
- Thermal Shock Resistance: should withstand rapid temperature changes without cracking or deteriorating
- Mechanical Strength: High compressive strength to bear heavy loads and mechanical stress.
- Chemical Resistance: These must resist chemical effect from slags, gases, and other materials.
Applications:
- Metallurgical Industries
- Blast Furnaces: Refractory bricks line blast furnaces’ interior to withstand the intense heat and mechanical stress during the smelting process.
- Steelmaking Furnaces: These bricks are used in steelmaking furnaces due to their resistance to basic slags and high temperatures.
- Glass Manufacturing
- Ceramics Industry: to maintain the necessary high temperatures and protect the structure from thermal damage.
- Chemical Processing: These bricks are used to line reactors and containment vessels, due to chemical resistance and high thermal insulation.
